Introduction
An important part of emergency preparedness is knowing what is going on so you can be informed about what emergencies might be ahead and make good choices.
This course provides articles on climate change that the emergency preparedness team has been researching for some time. There are topics to increase your understanding of climate change and what is presently happening on the earth and all of its systems. Some of the articles are confronting and some are encouraging. There are also articles to help you learn more about your carbon footprint, your water footprint and your part in improving the situation. We regularly post new articles to this section.
This course also includes a section with resources and videos about climate change that include interviews, documentaries, reports, interactive websites and suggestions for what you can do to help.
The section “Emergency Preparedness Manuals” provides practical suggestions for how to prepare for emergencies.
We hope this course will help you stay informed about what is happening and inspire you to do your part to help the planet.
